about the photographs

The photographs presented in this website are made from film negatives of various types and sizes, and are printed in a darkroom on premium fiber base gelatin silver paper by the photographer. All are available as exhibition-quality limited edition photographic prints.

The prints are processed according to accepted standards for archival permanence, and with proper care should last many lifetimes.  Most are partially toned in sepia and all are toned in selenium, both for aesthetic appearance as well as for maximum longevity.

Prints are dry mounted on white 16”x20” 4-ply acid-free mat board and overmatted with white 2-ply acid-free board.  Prints are supplied without frames.

The images reproduced on these webpages are close approximations of the actual print, but may not be an exact match due to variations in monitors, browsers and specific lighting conditions.  Because each print is made by hand, no two will be precisely identical.  Also, depending on the image, the size of the print may vary slightly from the dimensions stated in the description.

Each image is initially issued in an edition limited to 25 prints. Each print is signed and dated by the photographer on the mount below the photograph  and marked with complete edition information on the reverse. Print prices increase as the edition approaches its limit.
